Congratulations everyone!

8th March 2011 saw nearly 100 women attending an event to celebrate International Women’s Day at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli

The evening was a perfect opportunity for participants on the project to catch up with fellow learners and support staff plus hear from three Inspirational guest speakers - Gaynor Richards (Director–Neath Port Talbot CVS), Rachel Flanagan (M.D. Mrs Bucket) and Kelly Edwards (M.D. Kelly Edwards skincare), about their journey to success and the barriers they had to overcome to do so

Chwarae Teg’s new Agile Nation 24/7 website was launched during the event, with an introduction to the benefits of the new exclusive site plus staff were on hand to discuss further development opportunities that were available through the Agile Nation Project.

During the evening certificates were awarded to participants who had successfully completed their Level 2 Team Leading Awards with one participant saying how beneficial attending the course had been and also how much fun it was.

A ‘market place’ was set up for participants who run their own business’s to promote their products and/or advertise their services, stalls included website design, organic skin care, jewelry, homewares and support agencies.

Following on from the success of International Women’s Day, another similar event is planned for November 2011.
