South East Wales Awards Ceremony

South East Wales Awards Ceremony
Congratulations everyone!

Celebrating our participant’s successes

In March over 40 women on our Ascent programme, who successfully completed and passed their Level 2 ILM Team Leading Award or Level 3 ILM First Line Manager Award - attended an awards ceremony to celebrate their achievement at the QED Centre in Treforest

Helen Murdoch, President of Girl Guides Cymru and founder and manager of HM Marketing Ltd, joined the project team in SE Wales to present the certificates and spoke about the importance of role models and mentors in helping people progress in their chosen careers.

Project participant Leanne Handley, who successfully completed her Level 2 Team Leading Award, also attended the ceremony, and talked about her own learning journey and on how the project has helped her to progress in her career.

The ceremony gave women on the programme an excellent opportunity to catch up with fellow learners and celebrate their achievements. Project staff joined in the celebrations, and were on hand to discuss further development opportunities that were available through the Agile Nation Project.

Regional Project Manager, Natalie Griffiths hosting the event, said:

"It’s lovely to be here today to celebrate the women’s achievements and to see how the Project has been able to help them learn new skills, build their confidence and improve their workplace performance.’ ‘It is particularly nice to see how the project has helped Leanne to achieve her goals and fulfill her potential, along with the many other women we are working with.’

"The Project team are now looking forward to continuing their work with the women through the range of additional support the Project is able to offer including ongoing mentoring and development opportunities and topical member’s events to name just a few."
