‘Wales voting ‘yes’ to devolution was my most inspiring moment’

“I am inspired by so many different things, including
people I meet, places I travel, books I read and the art and
food I enjoy. The last time I felt truly inspired was in January,
when I visited Patagonia in Argentina. It is a beautiful place and I was inspired by the passion of the Welsh people there to keep the language and culture alive. My career is very important to me and has given me opportunities to do so many interesting things.

I have faced challenges from people underestimating me but that has just spurred me on to exceed people’s expectations. I currently write travel articles for newspapers and magazines, which allows me to combine my job with one of my greatest passions. My work-life balance has improved dramatically since I got married. I balance my work with spending quality time with my husband at our home in Mid Wales indulging in my many interests, including cooking, theatre, hill walking, reading and swimming.

One of my most inspiring moments was witnessing Wales vote ‘yes’ to devolution. It was a political landmark and a sign that things could change for the better.”
