Equality & Diversity

Equality and diversity in the workplace not only ensures that you and your organisation
operate within the law, it’s also good for business. The ability to understand and value
diversity within the workplace is a key management skill and essential to build a successful team. This workshop enables managers to understand the business case for equality and diversity in the workplace, along with the benefits it brings for work teams and individuals.

Workshop purpose

The workshop will provide team leaders and managers with the knowledge and personal awareness needed to lead teams within a diverse environment and apply the principles of best practice to meet personal and organisational goals .

Equality and diversity will be explored in relation to good people management and the
ability to recognise and value different talents and skill sets.

Participants will look at beliefs, values and attitudes in a supportive and safe environment, in order to understand how valuing diversity within a team can build trust and improve performance.

Who should attend?

The workshop is for women participants of the Agile Nation project who have completed the Ascent Programme training and want to continue developing their skills and their ability to manage teams. No previous knowledge of equality and diversity in the workplace is necessary.
