Gwyn George Partnership
Aberdare based law firm, the Gwyn George Partnership, teamed up with Agile Nation to ensure they were doing all they could to become an employer of choice in a competitive market
How we helped
Carl Williams Agile Nation ICT Project Manager, met with Gwyn George to help identify some key business aims, one of which was to enable women within the organisation to work remotely/flexibly in support of their caring responsibilities.
Carl said:
“At first it was unclear as to how many women could benefit from remote/flexible working but with our support 10 women were identified that we went on to help.”
“I was able to work alongside the firm’s own IT support provider to ensure any software we provided was compatible with their existing systems.
“As a result we were able to provide 10 laptops for the women and Open Source Software Company is now in the process of installing the equipment in the women’s homes.”
The benefits to Gwyn George Partnership
Through Agile Nation, the Gwyn George Partnership has been able to ensure more employees benefit from a more flexible working environment, this will help to improve productivity and also enhance their reputation as an employer of choice within the legal sector in Wales.
Gwyn George, Managing Partner, said:
“The legal sector has become such a competitive environment that in order to remain ahead of the competition it is vital to recruit and retain first class staff.
“For all staff, in order to keep them motivated and productive, we believe it is essential that they are adequately remunerated and properly trained. It is equally important that they are provided with the facility of flexible working which investment in modern technology now facilitates and which will be key to operating a successful business in future.”
