Who is the Evolve Programme for?

The Evolve programme is completely free of charge to eligible businesses based in the Convergence areas of Wales

The programme has been designed to support smaller businesses in the private and third sectors, including social enterprises and co-operatives

Because the programme deals with strategy and employment practices it is important the lead contact has the authority to make decisions and take action in these areas. All participating companies need to be enrolled by their owner, director or most senior manager.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible a company must meet the following criteria:

1.    Have a main base in one of the following counties:

Anglesey
Conwy
Denbighshire
Gwynedd
Carmarthenshire
Ceredigion
Pembrokeshire
Swansea
Neath Port Talbot
Blaenau Gwent
Bridgend
Caerphilly
Merthyr Tydfil
Rhondda Cynon Taf
Torfaen

2.    Employ between 5 and 250 people (larger or smaller businesses may be eligible but will need to contact their local office to discuss this further)

Please note that the following categories of business are NOT eligible to enrol on the Evolve programme:

  • Sole traders
  • Businesses in the fishery and aquaculture sector,  or those involved in the primary production of agricultural products, the coal sector, or road freight transport hire firms
  • Companies that receive 100% of their funding from European sources
Public sector

The Agile Nation project also has a small number of places for public sector bodies who wish to implement flexible working pilot schemes. To express an interest in these schemes please contact your local office.
