Cathy Kennedy talks family and flexible working with
The Western Mail

Agile Nation's Cathy Kennedy
spoke to the Western Mail this month about her experience juggling work and home life

The senior project officer and mum to three young boys appeared in the newspaper's ‘My favourite room' lifestyle feature describing her bedroom as a ‘lovely oasis of calm' where she goes to escape the noise and work on her laptop

Based in our South East Wales office, Cathy is often out and about in areas such as Rhondda Cynon Taff, Caerphilly, Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent delivering support to businesses and promoting work-life balance, as well as doing a bit of work at home herself.

In the article she says:

"I suppose I'm quite experienced in the things I'm talking about as I've had to juggle the work/life balance myself since the boys were born.
"I used to use the office but the boys have taken over that with their computer games and things so it's easier to come upstairs. I can hide up there without getting in their way and, hopefully, get a few minutes peace before they come barging in!"

Cathy has worked at Chwarae Teg for 10 years, supporting small businesses and employers in issues of diversity and flexibility and we're delighted she's been given the opportunity to share her story with Wales and the wider world.
